as ive grown

As a child I did not travel around. I did not have the luxury of having parents that could take their children on "vacations." Growing up, I lived in the projects and the projects tried to give the children of their community experiences. I was able to go on trips to theme parks, attractions, camps and enjoy the "free" trips offered to me. I am glad my parents allowed me to go. They knew they could not provide it for me so they gave me permission to go experience it through other means. I loved every moment and took it all in.
I knew I wanted to give my children these type of trip experiences. My parents instilled in me good values, morals and a love for education. They always emphasized how important going to school was and all my dreams could come true. So that is what I did. I went to school got good grades and continued to college. Even getting married, having a baby, a part time job and a home to run. It was not an option for me to quite. I kept on and graduated in 6 years with my bachelors.
When I got married My husband and I would take trips to Corpus Christi or San Antonio for a weekend. I was able to take my daughter to South Padre Island and stay at a hotel when she was young. Every year since We continue to go on a trip whether its a weekend getaway or a vacation.
I am blessed with great friends who have joined me on trips as we gave our children great experiences.
I will continue to take yearly vacations with my family and with all my friends that I have met along the way.
